First Quarter: Gerald Wallace has been handling the ball more than usual for the Nets it was needed in this quarter. With Deron Williams out with a bad wrist, someone had an oppurtunity to lead the Nets and Wallace surpassed that challenge. HE had 2 points, 5 assist and 4 rebounds. The Nets forced the Milwaukee Bucks to commit six turnovers which resulted in eight fast-break points. MarShon made an appearance and scored a quick two but that was his only impact. Offensively, the Nets were pretty good but they would trade baskets with the Bucks. Jennings was able to get easy pull-ups in transition and Larry Sanders was able to use his lenth and give Lopez some problems. But after one the Nets led 24-22.
Second Quarter: Along with Brooks,Tyshawn Taylor made an early appearance. He managed to connect on a mid range jump-shot but was taken out minutes later for C.J Watson. Brandon Jennings continued to light the Nets up with shots and penetration, and that forced Avery Johnson to take a timeout. The offense began to get back to it's roots with isolation sets and those resulted in easy blocks for the Bucks big men, or missed shots from three which the nets were 0 for four. The Bucks would keep adding on to the lead with fast-break points. They went on a 20 to 3 run and that put the lead up by double digits. Jennings had the game high in points with 16 and they lead by 13 after the quarter.
Third Quarter: Brook Lopez and Andray Blatche were the only two Nets players who were effective at somepoint. The bucks sped up their pace with tenacious defense and that kept the Nets at bay. The Nets did manage to come back and make ito a single- digit game but the Bucks were put in the bonus towards the end. The Nets were also in the bonus, but it really didn't help . With most of the game being in the Bucks hands, the Nets still had a fighting chance down by 11.
Fourth Quarter: Brooklyn was in the game for most of the fourth quarter but they never seemed to grab anytype of momentum. Everytime they would make a comeback, the Bucks would do something to maintain a double digit lead. Brook played decent, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounnds on 9 of 18 shooting but the rest of the team didnt help. Taylor didnt play great but he did bring the Nets with four off a big three. After that, the game went downhill. The Bucks started hitting three pointers and kept the Nets back. The game was basically over and the Milwaukee Bucks would win and continue their streak over the Nets at 13. Which is the longest active streak over any NBA team.
Joe Johnson and C.J. Watson really needed to show up this game but they were just bad. The starting back-court shot 29% from the field and the team shot 19% from three. Shooting was awful and the defense wasnt much better in this game. Gerald Wallce seems to be the only player who brings intensity but his offense ofsetts that sometimes. The Nets relied on jump-shots and that gave the Bucks easy points. Jennings finished with a game high 25 on 9 of 15 shooting and Monta Ellis finished with 20 and 7 assists.
