Tyshawn Taylor Improving Daily

With Deron Williams out with a sprained ankle, backup point guard Tyshawn Taylor is getting more reps and time at practice. Tyshawn, who excelled greatly under Coach Bill Self at Kansas, hasn't yet made a jump in the NBA, since he was drafted by the Nets with the 41st pick. This summer, Nets management showed Taylor that they didn't have the utmost faith in him as a backup point guard, seeing that general manager Billy King signed Shaun Livingston to backup D-Will. But Tyshawn is giving Livingston the run for his money and his ascension as a player has been noticed by Deron Williams and Coach Jason Kidd. The athletic 6' 3'' point guard has slowed down his game and is making smarter decisions. One thing seems certain, the Nets will have more depth at the point guard position this year than they did last year.
